Liverpool star told to quit the club as he’s compared to two-time title winner


It is time for Harvey Elliott to leave Liverpool.

Since graduating from Fulham at the age of 16, the versatile midfielder has played 147 -for the club for a fee of 4.3 million pounds.

“It would be great for him to have a great U21 [tournament].

“I think every time I put him a shirt for Liverpool and the U21s, I think that Harvey Elliott did well in every game.

“He is really thrilled, one of the boys who always want the ball in every situation. They can give it to him.

“I said, before he reminds me of Ray Houghton. You know that Ray Houghton was this guy with which he always wanted the ball. It’s great to get him in all different positions. You know he was only contagious, Ray and Harvey Elliott reminds me of it.

“Ray Houghton had a great ability to always want the ball and was very loud on the field.

“And he [Elliott] has dealt excellently. He never thrown his toy out of the stroller.

“I am sure that he would be disappointed with what happened to Liverpool with the amount of season he got. But it is a great opportunity to have a really good tournament on the U21.”

Houghton was a two -time title winner at Liverpool when he played for her from 1987 to 1992.

In the meantime, the England legend Stuart Pearce Talksport announced exactly where to go next.

When he played a game with ‘Transfer Tinder’ at Talksport breakfast, he was asked for West Ham, which was moving for the player.

Pearce replied: “[Swipe] Right, every day for me, on both points.

“The player has to play. When [Jurgen] Klopp went, he said: “I should have played a little more Harvey Elliott”. That was one of the statements he made.

“He identified the talent of him and found that he didn’t play it enough. He didn’t play enough again this year.

“I think that would be a good step for both parties. Right.”

Elliott has already talked about his future this summer.

Elliott said: “It is just a situation that I and the team have to talk about because I am now in an age when I am 22 years old, I will be 23 years old next season.

“I don’t really want to waste years [of] My career because it is a short career. You don’t know what will happen.

“I have to think. I have to see if I am satisfied with doing what I do and how can I improve as a player because this is the most important thing.

“I just want to improve and be the best possible version of me. If that should go somewhere else, it is a decision that I have to make and I just have to see what happens.”
