Liverpool’s goal: Lennon Miller’s next club must immediately offer him a chance at professional football.
That is the view of Lee, the midfielder’s father, who played for Middlesbrough and Carlisle during his playing days in England.

The Reds have been keeping an eye on the promising midfielder from Motherwell and are reportedly prepared to pay around £8.3million to bring the 18-year-old to Anfield.
After successfully acquiring starlets Harvey Elliott and Ben Doak, Liverpool are looking for their next youth investment.
But the Premier League leaders have competition for his signing in the form of Brighton, Newcastle and Southampton, who are also monitoring the Scotland Under-21 international.
Serie A clubs have also turned their attention to Miller after Italy became a breeding ground for Scottish talent in recent years.
Speaking on The Warm Up podcast, retired striker Lee admits he has reservations about a potential move to Anfield if his son doesn’t make the first team.
He also admits that Italy could provide the perfect platform for his son to flourish in the same way as his compatriots Lewis Ferguson, Che Adams, Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour.
“It’s a different time,” he said. “Italy are looking at Scottish players right now, particularly midfielders, and for whatever reason they are taking them there and actually playing them.”
“It’s a really good option – the path is interesting.”
“My advice to me is: you have to play,” he added. “His next move is so important to play and develop.
“He doesn’t want to play in the U23s and develop, he’s a first-team player now.

“People respect him for that, his teammates respect him for that, so it’s a tough question.”
“He loves playing at Motherwell, he loves being there, but at some point he will get to where he needs to further his career.”
Liverpool scouts are understood to have been impressed with Miller’s performances so far ahead of a potential move in 2025.
The midfielder made 59 appearances for Motherwell, scoring five goals.
He has already played 22 games this season, scoring four goals and picking up five assists in all competitions.
And despite his tender age, Miller has captained the club in its last six games.
This included wearing the armband against Scottish giants Rangers in the League Cup.
