Liverpool warned they won’t retain Premier League title without signing Alexander Isak and need three more signings

Liverpool must complete the incredible signing of Alexander Isak this summer if you want to keep your Premier League title.

According to Reds Legend, this is Mark Lawgenson, who believes that you have to address a different position before the transmission window ends.

Newcastle rejected an offer of £ 110 million from Liverpool for Isak last week.

Talk sport understands that the magpies would reluctantly redeem if they sign Benjamin Sesko, even though he wants to join Manchester United.

In a summer in which Newcastle missed numerous goals, Sesko gave another big blow by joining the Rivals United.

This could lead to playing hardball with the Wantaway Isak Isak, but Lawenson suggested that Liverpool have to do what you can do to sign it.

In conversation with Talk Sport Breakfast, the former defender gave up a simple answer when he was asked if he could win the league without Isak.

“I might argue and say no because they strengthen Chelsea and Arsenal, not? So no, to be honest.”

Andy Townsend added: “Of course, the entire focus is on Isak, but this season should also be a priority for her in mid -half.”

Lawenson agreed and replied: “Absolutely. [Virgil] Van Dijk, omnipresent.

“The French boy [Ibrahima Konate]For such a big boy and such a big frame, he misses some games, so I think that is definitely up there. “

“You didn’t stop shopping, right? You are probably three quarters of the way through, I would imagine that there will probably be two more or three players in the building.”

Although a new central defender could become a further summer signing, Lawrenson explained why Isak would be an exciting arrival.

“If it is Isak, if he’s there too, we all know what he can do.

“And a great thing for Liverpool when you get him is a boy who actually achieves his own goals, let alone the fact that he plays for the team, he actually creates his own goals alone.”

Isak was a sensational signing for Newcastle after scoring 62 goals in 109 games since he moved from Real Sociedad in 2022.

He scored the second goal in the 2-1 win in Carabao Cup against Liverpool last season when the club won its first trophy in 56 years.

However, the 25-year-old informed the club that he would like to explore his possibilities away from St. James Park this summer.

How did talk sport react to the Isak saga?

Ade Oladipo from Talksport asked whether the Swedish international would be disappointed with a lack of top registrations in the club.

Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekikte, Liam Delap and Bryan Mbumo are some of their missed destinations, although Sesko will probably be the next.

The former owner of Crystal Palace, Simon Jordan, asked Isak to “do what he tells”, even though he tried after departure.

“There is also a school of thinking that he can do what he wants. He can also do what he damned, strap up and do what he said.

“It depends on how strong a football club wants to be. Liverpool can sit there …

Jordan added: “If Liverpool wants to buy this player, you should try to buy it, and Newcastle has to be very strong in what you want.

Newcastle ready to earn Alexander Isak and accept the offer from Liverpool when you sign Benjamin Sesko!

“I don’t care what Alexander Isak wants right now. If I am the owner of the football club, the manager of the football club, it is my job to ensure that I am fine.

“So if you want to come and buy my player, buy it or bend.

“Do not use all the forces of the fact that you are a football club that achieved something last year, your second Premier League title in 33 years, but you have now achieved it and in the past five years your club has reappeared in English football and dominated the leagues.

“But do not use this as an opportunity to unsettle the player. Make a bid, or I will make it very, very difficult for you to buy this player.

“And I will convince the consequences of this, and the player has to accept the principles of what I say and it can be done.”

Liverpool already issued this summer north of £ 250 million in a large declaration of intent for her title defense of the Premier League.
