Liverpool was crowned the Premier League champion for the second time after he had 5-1 on Sunday in Anfield from behind to Tottenham Hotspur.
The goals in the first half of Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo made Dominic Solanese irrelevant early header and made the stage for Mohamed Salah to achieve his 27th Premier League strike in the middle of the second half.
Liverpool’s title cake added his own goal from Destiny Udogie, which was delivered to Merseyside on a wonderfully sunny afternoon.
In and around Anfield there was a feverish atmosphere in the run -up to the game, although Liverpool knew that only a lonely point would be enough to bring it over the line after the recent slipping of title rival Arsenal. The fans lined the streets with scarves, banners and made red-smoke-flares when they welcomed the players in the team coach to the ground on the floor of supporters who had no Matchday ticket just to take up the atmosphere and to be part of the celebrations.
A thundering reproduction of ‘You’ll never Walk Alone’ Then Anfield stayed nearby when the teams completed their final preparations. With the stadium, Gakpo achieved Liverpool’s third after more cumbersome Spurs defended, although his quick footwork and its precise finish may not be a surprise in view of his excellent individual season.
Salah added the fourth after a devastating counterattack of the energetic Szoboszlai was cited, with Udogie converted into his own network minutes later when he tried to prevent the ball from reaching the Egyptian again.
