A 35 million pound for Guehi was almost agreed on the Deadline Day, with the Cystal Palace Captain even granted permission to undergo a medical one.

Igor’s decision to borrow West Ham instead of Palace von Brighton, but led to Guehi’s own move to ANFIELD.
The English international was frustrated when he had told Liverpool that he wanted to join, but the arrival of Jaydee Canvot from Toulouse was not enough to sanction an exit.
Head coach Oliver Glasner made it clear to chairman Steve Parish. He wanted two new defenders, and in the end the chairman of the palace decided that it was better for the upcoming season to keep guy, and even knew that he couldn’t work for anything next summer.
Talksport understands that Guehi has no plans to sign a new palace contract and thus leave Selhurst Park after the World Cup.
It looks like it does not tend to switch in January because a transfer in the middle of the season could disturb its own World Cup preparations.
The 25-year-old will be able to choose from a number of clubs next summer, and not only Liverpool is still interested in adding him to a free transmission, but also the potential new interest of Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs saw a bid of 70 million GBP in January, which was rejected by the now dead Daniel Levy and almost immediately rejected by the community.
However, Newcastle sources insist that Guehi has no priority after the arrival of Malick Thiaw, while the former Club Chelsea never followed a formal approach this summer, even after the ACL injury from Levi Colwill.
Why Liverpool is happy without Guehi
Liverpool would have loved rounding off an excellent window, with Guehi moving in Merseyside, but her top defensive priority was to add a young central defender in the age group between 18 and 22.
Giovanni Leoni, who signed Parma for £ 26 million, has an elite potential and is ready the Premier League.

As a result, and together with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez, Liverpool believe that they are well covered with Center-Back options for the 2025/26 season.
Gomez was of interest to both the palace and Milan, but Liverpool hesitated to have him left.
Milan was closest to the 28-year-old the week before the Deadline Day, but a transfer would never be sanctioned, unless Guehi joined for the first time.
Liverpool will feel well placed to return to Guehi in a year and can make a contract in advance from January, but since it looks, there are no plans to pay a fee to get it early. Only an unexpected injury could change this.
Konate has the priority of Liverpool
Instead of making the efforts to sign Guehi for the years, Liverpool instead take a large part of her short -term efforts to try to get the contract to extend his contract.
The 26-year-old was connected to a change to Madrid next summer, but Liverpool has not yet given up an extension.

In active conversations with the France international, they are hoping to convince him to sign a new long-term deal.
So far there has been no progress, but as Liverpool has proven at Mohammed Salah, van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold last season, they are fully prepared to run contracts if they are looking for a solution.
In the end, Salah and van Dijk signed both new two-year contracts in April, but Alexander-Arnold went to Real Madrid.
