The talks about a move to North London will continue to progress, but no agreement has been made, but the two clubs are tight.
The 27-year-old has agreed on a five-year contract with the Gunners and his camp is confident that he will join Arsenal.
He will be back at Sporting on Monday for training before the season and will keep his promise to go on the strike to force a deduction from Portugal.
It is believed that Sporting demands at least 68.5 million GBP, more than the registered gentleman agreement of 60 million GBP.
The President of the Club, Frederico Varandas, refused reports that Gyokoker had to leave such an agreement.
“You should get to know me better now,” said Varandas.
“Threats, blackmail and insults do not work with me. And I can guarantee one thing: Viktor will not leave for € 60 million plus € 10 million. I have never promised that.
“With this game that the agent plays, the situation is only worse. To date, Sporting has no offer for Viktor Gyokoker. Not today or last summer.”
In response to this, Gyokoker said: “At the moment there are many conversations, most of them are wrong. I will speak if the time is correct.”
Gyokeres is a striker this summer who was asked home after having scored astonishing 54 goals for sport in just 52 games in the 2024/25 season.
