Manchester City introduced the club’s new home shirt for the 2025/26 season and included a white sash on the traditional Sky Blue jersey.
The Sash has good memories in the history of the city, which appeared for the first time in away kits in the 1970s and were honored in further changes in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.
But in what Puma “established a connection to the past with a futuristic design” and “bridge the gap between different generations of city fans”, this is the first sash that has ever been seen on a home shirt.
“Kits organize special memories for players and fans. The Sash has always been a popular design that people lovingly remember, and I am pleased that it will return to a home kit this year,” commented the City legend Mike Summerbee.
“It was also an honor to be part of the Kit start video. I hope that fans all over the world will enjoy the video and that this kit brings more special memories for the club.”
The latter is available in authentic, worn by the players and loaded with the latest technology and replica versions. They are manufactured with at least 95% recycled textile waste.
City will end the current season of the Premier League and the FA Cup final of this weekend in Strip 2024/25, but the new design will then be used at the FIFA Club World Cup of the summer.
Her first game of the competition will be on June 18 in Philadelphia against Morocco Wydad.
