Manchester City Midfield Llkay Gundogan has expressed interest in joining Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff when he retires from playing due to the jumping board, which has been proven to be demonstrated.
Gundogan played the best part of a decade for Guardiola in two spells in City after he was initially one of the first new faces going through the door when the boss arrived in 2016.
Both Mikel Areteta and Enzo Maresca in East Manchester worked on Guardiola’s employees among the current bosses of the Premier League. The former did this from his retirement as a player in 2016 until his arrival of Arsenal 2019, a little more than three years later, and the latter during the triple season 2022/23 for an earlier spell that was responsible for the club’s U21 squad.
In Barcelona, Guardiola was replaced by Assistant Tito Vilanova in 2012.
It shows what learning among a respected master coach how he can do.
“I didn’t ask him, but there is probably nothing better than starting Peps assistant. The examples of recent years have shown that it can pave the way for a coaching career. Peps co -trainer would be extremely appealing for me” Sports picture.
Gundogan will be 35 at the beginning of the next season, but it will probably not retire immediately. His contract with City has already extended until the summer of 2026. As an intelligent player who is successful at the highest level, he should have a lot to offer as a trainer.
The current assistants of Guardiola are Juanma Lillo, an experienced trainer of more than 40 years, who returned in 2023 after a season in Qatar after a season, and Carlo Vicens, a relatively young coach with 42, who has since started as an assistant with City’s U18.
But if Gundogan wants to be a trainer on Guardiola’s employees, time expires. The City boss recently played on a possible exit from the club when his contract runs in 2027, and confirmed his wish to take a “break” of football before taking his next job into consideration.
