Kyle Walker is the perfect replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool should make a move for the Manchester City star this month.
That is the view of former Reds striker Dean Saunders, who has urged Arne Slot to attack his Premier League rivals.

This comes as City boss Pep Guardiola reveals the 34-year-old has asked to leave the Etihad in the January transfer window to finish his career abroad.
The Pitch Prospect understands the defender, who was left out of the City squad that beat Salford City 8-0 in the FA Cup third round, is a target for Saudi Pro League clubs who are offering the player a mega salary can.
But Serie A giant AC Milan would also like to surprisingly secure Walker’s services.
The Italian team remain interested in bringing in Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford as they look to add to their ever-growing collection of Three Lions stars.
Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are currently on the schedule at San Siro.
However, there are currently no direct talks between Milan and City about a move for Walker.
While many believe the former Tottenham man no longer has the standard to play Premier League football, The Pitch Prospect presenter Saunders believes he is still as good as ever.
Saunders spoke at the FA Cup GameDay Phone-In alongside former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy and claimed Walker was the ideal replacement for Real Madrid target Alexander-Arnold.
Despite Walker pushing for an England departure, Saunders said: “Want me to put a stop to you?”
“So it looks like Trent is leaving. Why don’t Liverpool sign him?”

“So he would be a good signing for Liverpool if Trent leaves.”
“I know they have the little child [Conor Bradley] get through…”
An almost speechless Cundy interjected and replied: “Deano, why did you do that? Why did you throw that in?”
Explaining himself, Saunders explained: “He’s still fast, by the way – and if Trent goes…”
Later in the show, Saunders doubled down on his view, before then pointing out that he would be in the starting XI for any of City’s ‘top six’ rivals.
He remarked: “He would get into the Spurs team, he would get into the Liverpool team.”

“He would come into the Man United team, he would come into the Chelsea team.
“Would he come into the Arsenal team? He would come into the Arsenal team. He’s better than.” [Ben] White!”
Saunders then questioned whether Saudi Arabia would be a good move for Walker, to which Cundy insisted he could still do a job in Europe.
He said, “Of course he could.” [make switch to Saudi Arabia]I just don’t think he’s ready yet.
“If he is offered £600,000 a week to play in Saudi Arabia I won’t criticize him, that makes sense to me.”
“But if I’m a club in Italy or in Spain and I watch Kyle Walker… the pace of the English game, it’s the fastest league in the world.”
“Yes, he’s lost a yard of speed, but Kyle Walker’s speed is still comparable to most in this league.”
“I think the fact that he [Guardiola] said he wanted to go abroad, he made it in England, he won everything there was to win, go and do something abroad.
“I understand that, I see that, it shows courage that he wants to go abroad and prove himself.”
