Man Utd & Chelsea sent Victor Osimhen transfer warning by Napoli president

The President of Napoli, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has reportedly warned the applicants of striker Victor Ossimhen that he will be sold to the highest bidder this summer.

Ossimhen was supposed to leave Napoli last year after being frozen by manager Antonio Conte, who instead preferred to see Romelu Lukaku again. Paris Saint-Germain was enthusiastic and Chelsea was locked up in conversations until the dying embers of the transfer window was just not to be able to complete a deal.

The European transmission window closed and Osimhen remained in the cold in Napoli, which led to a surprising 12-month loan in Galatasaray. During his time in Turkiye, Osimhen scored 26 goals in 30 games in all competitions.

In Osimhen’s contract there is a publication clause of € 75 million (£ 62.7 million), but this year he could be sold for cheaper if he returns to Napoli, where his contract runs until 2026. An extension is not in the question, so the negotiation power of the series is significantly limited.

Despite it, Sky Sport Switzerland State de Laurentiis tries to bring a bidding war into hope to collect as much money as possible.

PSG will not return to the table after signing the winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for around 70 million euros in January, but Chelsea remains interested and Manchester United has added the Nigeria International to his four-man striker shortlist.

Chelsea was close to an agreement with Osimhen last summer before the conversations collapsed, but they may still have an advantage after a teammate from the Nigeria striker William Troost-Ekong admitted that Osimhen was a blues fan.

“I know that he’s a Chelsea fan, but I also know that he has had discussions with all the top teams,” said Troost-Ekong Talk sport. “It is up to him what he chooses. He will fit into every team.”

At the end of the last month, Ossimhen speaks that after his loan at Galatasaray, he still doesn’t know what the future has for him.
