Man Utd receive improved Antony bid from Real Betis

Real Betis has increased its offer Sign It has been announced that winger Antony has joined on loan from Manchester United.

The £82million winger plummeted down the rankings this season under former coach Erik ten Hag and has remained on the sidelines since Ruben Amorim took over, with the Portuguese rewarded for relying on young Amad Diallo instead.

Antony is available for a transfer this month and Betis were the first significant suitor earlier this month, but the high cost of a loan deal – even with United subsidizing some of his wages – complicates the deal.

Local Spanish publication ABC de Sevillewho were first to report Betis’ interest earlier this month, indicate that a second offer has now been submitted that is closer to United’s demands.

United accept they need to contribute to Antony’s wages but are demanding guarantees on the 24-year-old’s playing time and want him to be given a fair chance to increase his value before a possible permanent exit.

Antony is said to be keen to move to Spain and currently prefers Betis, which has the added appeal of Conference League football.

Meanwhile, United are also processing offers for another winger, Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli has already had an offer rejected and Chelsea have also expressed interest in the Argentina international.
