Man Utd stars past & present attend Denis Law funeral


The funeral of the Legend of the Manchester United Denis Denis took place on Tuesday in Manchester.

The former United striker died in the last month at the age of 84, which led to an enormous expression of tributes from all over the football world.

Before the kick -off in Old Trafford, the law was honored two days after his death to visit Brighton & Hove Albion. The usual stone rose music of the club was replaced by a sole bagpiper who leads the teams from the tunnel.

The friends and contemporaries of the law as well as those who followed him in a united shirt, and members of the current squad were present in the Manchester cathedral when he was relaxed.

Sir Alex Ferguson was narrow with his Scottish colleague and paid homage to his glittering career as a player. “The attempt to put Denis in the pantheon of the big players becomes easier by Pele,” recalled the former United boss. “Pele was asked if a British player could play for the Brazilian team. He said without ambiguity, Denis Law. It was a fantastic tribute when you thought about what a great player he was.”

Alex Stepney, Bryan Robson, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney also represented the various epochs of United players on duty, with Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire also present. The managing director Omar Berrada and head coach Ruben Amorim also went.

The funeral process of Law in front of Old Trafford had passed, which gave fans a final opportunity to say goodbye to the club by one of the greatest players that were ever played for the club.

Law, scorer of 237 United goals, to sit behind the deceased Sir Bobby Charlton and the Rooney mentioned above in the club’s top goal shooter list, has already immortalized in statue form outside of Old Trafford.
