As The Pitch Prospect has learned, Manchester United have held talks with Joshua Zirkzee’s camp as they consider a move for the Bologna striker in the summer.
Dutch striker Zirkzee is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League as a potential transfer to AC Milan stalls.

It is believed that the Red Devils are looking for competition for Rasmus Hojlund for the new season.
Zirkzee has also been mentioned as a possible option for Arsenal, as the team is also looking for offensive reinforcements.
Due to a release clause in the 23-year-old’s contract with Bologna, a deal could cost the relatively modest sum of £34 million.
His services attracted attention after Zirkzee scored 11 goals in 34 Serie A games last season.
His contributions helped Bologna finish fifth in the league, qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Zirkzee is currently participating in the 2024 European Championship with the Netherlands after being called up to Ronald Koeman’s squad at short notice.
The striker was on vacation at Disney World in Florida when he was called up to the national team as a replacement for the injured Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners.
And in the opening match of Group D against Poland in Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion, he sat on the bench.

However, he was not on the pitch as substitute Wout Weghorst was preferred to him. The tall centre-forward scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
But he may be on the verge of making his international debut on Friday night against France.
Before moving to Bologna in 2022, Zirkzee was under contract with FC Bayern Munich, where he scored four goals in 17 games between 2019 and 2021.
He also spent time on loan at Parma and Anderlecht before finally leaving the Allianz Arena on a permanent contract.
