United have rejected Fulham’s offer for midfielder McTominay.

The Scottish international was the subject of transfer interest from West Ham last year but remained at Old Trafford.

Fulham tried to bring him to west London for next season, but United rejected the offer.

It is understood the offer was below the £30 million proposal made by West Ham in the previous summer transfer window.

The Pitch Prospect reported Fulham’s interest in McTominay earlier this week as they look for a replacement for Joao Palhinha, who has moved to Bayern Munich.

United would be willing to sell the 27-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract with the club, for a reasonable price.

McTominay has made 252 appearances for United in all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing eight assists.

He only started 18 times in the last Premier League season, but was involved in the entire FA Cup winning streak, including the final against rivals Manchester City.

The midfielder is also of interest to Galatasaray, after their vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu stated: “McTominay’s transfer fee is being discussed.”

Meanwhile, The Pitch Prospect has learned that West Ham are in advanced talks with United over a transfer of right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Ten Hag is preparing for his third season as coach of the club despite speculation about his future, as his contract has been extended until 2026.
