According to The Pitch Prospect, Manchester United will more than quadruple Kobbie Mainoo’s salary with a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.
Harry Maguire is also negotiating a new one-year contract and the option of a further 12 months as the club looks to prepare for next season.

The pay rise will see Mainoo receive a basic wage of £120,000 per week, with the contract running until 2031.
The Pitch Prospect understands the Theater of Dreams midfielder currently earns £25,000 a week.
Sources suggest Mainoo could put more money into add-ons and as long as his development continues, United plan to offer him a new contract in 2028.
Maguire’s contract expires at the end of the season but the experienced centre-back has performed well for Michael Carrick.
Both players were also named by England in Thomas Tuchel’s expanded 35-man squad.
Maguire has not played for the Three Lions since September 2024 and Mainoo has been out of the picture since the exact same game against the Republic of Ireland.
But now they both have to face the World Cup and want to show in the friendlies against Uruguay and Japan why they should be on the plane to North America.
Rewarded
Since Carrick took over as interim manager at United, Mainoo has started all nine games and played the full 90 minutes in all of them, with the exception of Carrick’s sole defeat against Newcastle United.
He had not previously played a game in the Premier League under Ruben Amorim.
Even Maguire wasn’t heavily involved in the team before his injury.
But he started every single game under Carrick again.
Speaking recently about Mainoo, Carrick was full of praise but also explained that he believes there is more to come from the academy graduate.

He said: “He can always improve in a lot of things, this is the age he is at, just for starters.
“There’s still so much to do and develop and that’s natural. That’s not a negative for Kobbie, it’s just the stage he’s at in his career so hopefully he still has plenty of opportunities to improve and develop.”
“I think he’s done really well. He hasn’t played much football for a while to get a run of games and find his rhythm.”
“I think he did it really quickly and there’s a really natural flow and I thought he was really good again at the weekend.”
“To deliver a performance where he did a little bit of everything and controlled the game and the spells when he had to defend, that was really impressive.”
Likewise, the former United midfielder has enjoyed Maguire’s performances.
