Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be a reinforcement for Manchester United’s striker department.
That’s the opinion of The Pitch Prospect’s Darren Bent, who praised how good the Everton striker can be on a good day.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Calvert-Lewin is one of the potential signings that Man United actually want to add to their list next.
Man United recently increased their transfer tally this summer to four with the signing of defensive duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazaraoui from FC Bayern Munich.
They had previously signed Lille defender Leny Yoro and Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in this transfer period.
And Erik ten Hag will now set his sights on the next target.
Calvert-Lewin has been with the Merseyside club since 2016 and has scored 68 goals in 248 appearances during this time.
After coming through Sheffield United’s academy, he spent two seasons on loan from the Blades at Stalybridge Celtic and Northampton Town before signing for Everton.
He also had a brief spell as an England international, being called up to the national team by Gareth Southgate in October, but has been dropped from the squad since 2021.
But former Aston Villa and England striker Bent told The Pitch Prospect Drive that while he was not convinced it was the right transfer for Manchester United, he had rated him very highly when he was at his best.
“I think it’s probably an improvement over what you have,” he said, but declined to comment explicitly on whether he specifically considers him an improvement over Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund.
“I’m torn about Dominic Calvert-Lewin,” he continued. “Because when you look at his numbers, on the one hand you say no.”
These figures show that the striker has only scored 14 goals in 66 games over the last three seasons.

“(But) on a good day he’s unbeatable,” Bent continued. “On a good day, when he’s fit and in top form, he’s unbeatable. He’s big, he’s strong.”
“He’s good in the air. When he’s in shape, no one can beat him. He’s one of the best in the air. When he’s confident, he’s there.”
“Under Ancelotti he was unbeatable at times. Under Ancelotti this season, right?
“But unfortunately he just can’t manage to stay fit. Whatever the reason, he’s not reliable.”
And Bent admitted that he would be “dumbfounded” if Man United actually decided to sign the striker – and that he would not recommend the club make that move.
“He is unreliable and it is not because of his form. I don’t want to be hard on him,” he explained.
“But the guy just doesn’t play enough games. He doesn’t have enough time to stay fit over a longer period of time.”
“Still, I would say Manchester United have to reach a whole new level if they want to get back to where Man United should be. But no, not for Man United, no.”
