Man City have confirmed the signing of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-time England international joins at a crucial time for Pep Guardiola’s side after John Stones, Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias were ruled out through injury.

Arsenal currently top the Premier League table, but Man City remain within striking distance despite a dip in form.
And the addition of Guehi could be key to keeping the Cityzens’ title hunt alive.
This puts an end to the intense transfer speculation that the 25-year-old has been involved in since the beginning of last summer.
Guehi signs for £20m plus add-ons and receives a sizeable signing fee. He will wear the No. 15 jersey at City.
He has also penned a five-and-a-half year deal worth around £300,000 a week.
Why did Liverpool miss out on Guehi?
Man City’s victory in this race is another huge blow for Liverpool, who believed they had signed the player in the summer.
Guehi appeared ready to join the Reds on transfer deadline day in August.
However, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner threatened to leave the club if the £35million transfer goes through.
But now circumstances have seen Man City move up, although Liverpool still need to bolster a shaky defense that has cost them the chance of retaining the title they won last season.
Why did the teams want Guehi?
Despite not making a single appearance for the club, Guehi’s talent was evident as he broke through at Chelsea.
He thrived in their excellent academy and enjoyed a season and a half with Swansea on loan from 2020 to 2021, during which they reached the play-offs twice.
Crystal Palace then signed him for £18 million and he was an instant hit in south London.

His form helped the Eagles achieve better results in three consecutive seasons from 2021 to 2024.
Newcastle then tried to sign him before he led Palace to the FA Cup final, which they won at Wembley, as captain while Joel Ward was out of the team.
He then led them to win the Community Shield last summer, beating Liverpool on penalties.
Guehi is now also a regular for England and played for the Three Lions at Euro 2024.
He remained at the heart of the defense when Gareth Southgate was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
