The championship club Burnley is close to the wing player Marcus Edwards from Sporting Lisbon, as Talksport understands.
Until the end of the 2024/25 season, Edwards will borrow the Clarets with the obligation to buy for around £ 8 million if they are transported to the Premier League.

The talks are in an advanced stage before the transmission period on Monday evening at 11 p.m.
And it is assumed that Edwards will fly to Burnley after being permitted to undergo medicine.
The breathtaking step, like the Burnley boss Scott Parker, the graduate of the Tottenham Academy Edwards, would reunite after their paths were crossed at Spurs.
The 26-year-old sporty winger spent 13 years in Tottenham, but never went to first place.
Edwards came to Tottenham’s academy at the age of eight and signed his first professional contract with the North London Club in 2016.
He only appeared for Tottenham’s senior team before moving to Portugal for around 6 million pounds.
Parker played two years in Tottenham from 2011 to 2013. During this time, Edwards was still part of the academy.
It was claimed that their existing relationship was an essential factor for the conviction of Edwards to join Burnley.
Edwards is now a player at Champions League trunk tree and was previously associated with Premier League clubs like Everton.
Edwards represented England from U-16 to under 20 years.

In 120 games for sports he scored 24 goals and assisted 26 times.
He played under Ruben Amorim for two years, impressed in Europe and won the Primeira League title in the 2023/24 season before the manager took over at Manchester United.
However, since Amorim was replaced by Rui Borges, Edwards fell in Lisbon.
Questions about the player’s commitment were asked, and Borges recently let him out of the Champions League squad to make Bologna with little explanation.
If Edwards is permanently coming to Burnley, Tottenham would have been entitled to a sales clause as part of the deal in which Edwards were sold to Sporting.
In January 2023 Sporting acquired another 15 percent of Edwards from Tottenham’s business rights when Pedro Porro was originally borrowed and then bought from the North London side.

Burnley is currently third in the championship, a point of the automatic promotion places and three points out of the top after only nine goals in 29 games were granted this season.
