Manchester United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday evening with the kind permission of Lisandro Martinez ‘rejected strike.
Fulham shaded a heavy and bland in the first half, but it fought to bring the house out of her seats. Those at the end of the away were similarly underwhelmed in the last third when United Bernd Leno did not even test before the interval.
The second half was similarly slow, but Martinez produced the crucial moment for the Red Devils in the 78th minute when his derived efforts brought Ruben Amorim some breath and took twelfth place in the Premier League.
How the game unfolds
No team came out of the blocks in Craven Cottage, but it was Fulham who had closed the most promising openings in the early stages. Alex Iwobi called Andre Onana twice in routine rescues and Emile Smith Rowe was rejected by Martinez ‘last block after handing over United in her own half.
The traveling supporters expressed their frustrations about the lack of inspiration for their team on the half -hour brand when Fulham’s defense oppressed with little excitement such as Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho. In the first half, Rasmus Hojlund only achieved 17 touches – less than Mispan – while United only had his first goal in the 42nd minute.
Bruno Fernandes ensured the first moment of the invention after the restart when his free kick slid under the Fulham wall and the side networks, with Amorim soon turning to his bank in search of ingenuity. Joshua Zirkzee entered the fight shortly before the hour, hoping to create another game winner against the huts after having made a debut in the opposite games.
The Dutchman certainly had no immediate influence on United when they continued to do hard work in the capital. Adama Traore worsened her evening almost 15 minutes, but the replacement of Fulham solved an encouraging opening over the crossbar.
It felt like a moment of the genius or a stroke of luck was a loyal matter, and the latter turned out to be a savior of United in the 78th minute. Martinez ‘long-term effort made an enormous distraction in front of Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic before going beyond Leno’s range and up to the upper corner.
Fulham seemed unlikely to produce a balance, but had the strange chance in the dying embers. Toby Collyer cleared the line from Joachim Andersen’s header before Rodrigo Muniz shot over the crossbar. The Brazilian will have been frustrated not to have done it better.
Amad thought that he had completed the victory in added time when he embedded a shot in the lower corner, but United had to be satisfied with a one-goal victory after Var had excluded the striker of the striker for a marginal.

Well, it wasn’t nice, but United doesn’t care. The Red Devils were largely uninspiring because they secured a significant victory over a lifeless Fulham team, with luck on their side when they only achieved their second Premier League victory of the new year.
After her recent fights, victory on Sunday will feel euphoric, although United still has no cohesion and consistency, especially in the last third. Amorim was unable to produce a master plan that unlocked Fulham, but at least he will be proud of the defense efforts and the ability of his team to determine the result that they could not produce over a large part of the season.
It is a victory that is over the cracks instead of turning the corner, but is still an important three -point.
After starting the last two United games on the bench, Hojlund from Amorim in West -London was shown a vote of trust. Denmark International was in the start-XI to combat two physical middle center and hoped to end his drought of ten games.
However, the goals were not opened for Hojlund, which produced a remarkably overwhelming presentation. He did not manage to create a single chance or to aim at the goal and to achieve only six precise passes on the field during his 58 minutes.
United at times went directly and Hojlund was the man who was often at the recipient end of the long vertical passports, but the progress had far too easy. He lost nine of his eleven duels when the ball often jumped from his shin and fell back in Fulham.
If this was an audition for a starting place in the future, he will not receive a call back.
Ey brows may have been raised when Collyer was replaced in front of Kobbie Mainoo to replace the injured Manuel Ugarte, who had to wait until later in the game to get into the field. The youngster enjoyed an encouraging breakout season, but the experience and technical quality of its graduates of the academy are still missing.
Although Collyer didn’t have too much to do as United Snuck Sieg, he made an absolutely decisive contribution. After the clock ticks down and Fulham pushed to a leveler, the 21-year-old was in the right place at the right time when he put Andersen’s efforts from a corner from the line.
Collyer bent down Low to save United’s blushing and produced a coupling moment in one night of the little drama and was quickly bullyed by teammates after an impressive intervention. After the whistle, he was rightly awarded the praise by Match-Pleedner Martinez when he saved his side from a late slip.
