Arsenal Manager Mikel Areta insisted that Bukayo Saka is “Raring to Go” when he left the door open to start the returning winger at the meeting on Tuesday.
Saka went down in December with an evil thigh injury that has brought him to the failure since then, but he returned to training during the international break and triggered the confidence that he could occur in a way after the recent break in the first game of the club.
After Saka’s condition, Areta was asked before the game during his press conference and considering bringing the 23-year-old back into action.
“Bukayo is ready to go,” he started. “The careful thing that is already done. Now it is about bringing it into the right moments.
“But he urges because he really wants it. We respected the time frame, we did everything and we even have to hold it back. So he is ready to go.”
When asked whether Saka could start against Fulham, the Arsenal boss simply replied: “Yes.”
Saka’s return to action will give an enormous thrust for an Arsenal front line that is terribly struggling for goals from an open game during its absence – a cause that did not help for both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, both by injuries to the end of the season.
The winger has 11 templates and five goals from just 16 games of the Premier League, behind only Mohamed Salah in the Assist charts of the division, although he has not played for over three months. Until his injury, he was good on the course to challeeg the individual season -assist record (20).
“It is another massive weapon that we have with him,” said Arteta. “We know the effects that he had on the team and how important his role and contribution to our success are. So great to have him back.”
