Mitre bring back iconic Ultimax ball to celebrate 30th anniversary

Mitist’s Ultimax Ball was first launched in 1995 and quickly became a decisive symbol in English football. An integral part of the Premier League parking spaces in the nineties, the story was the first football to create the 100 km / h speed barrier.

Now, 30 years later, Mitre has redesigned the legendary ball and brought it back with a modern touch.

The new Ultimax Pro 30th anniversary ball merges the classic design with the latest technology and celebrates its legendary status and at the same time sets a new standard for the next generation.

While the ball retains the familiar 6-panel construction, the classic white, blue and red color body and the distinctive crown logo, it was improved with advanced functions. Hyperflow grooves reduce air resistance and an elegant pearl finish offers traditional gifts for the 30th anniversary. The interior also sees improvements, whereby hyperfoampolsteration is now being improved for cleaner strikes and even more power.

To mark the milestone, Mitre started the “The Next in Line” campaign and staged the new wave of football talents with the spotlight about their family agreements.

The campaign contains rising stars such as Raphaella Wright Phillips, granddaughter of Arsenal icon Ian Wright, Ruben Butt, the son of Manchester United Legende Nicky Butt, and Jacob Fowler, whose father Liverpool’s own Robbie Fowler is.

The trio, each in vintage 95/96 kits, embodies the connection between past and future – just like the new Ultimax Pro itself.
