Mohamed Salah has warned the Premier League title of the Liverpool title title competitor that he is already thinking about raising the trophy next season.
The Reds had come out of control for the vast majority of the season and secured their title at the weekend with the kind permission of a emphatic 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
In the celebrations, Salah admitted that he believed that this recent triumph was “much better” that the title in the 2019/20 season was lifted under Jürgen Klopp, but the focus of the Egyptian soon turned to keep her crown in the next season.
“We wanted to deliver more than anything else to our fans,” he wrote on social media. “This is a club that should always compete for everything and should be at the top. No excuses.
“All teams win games, but in the end there is only one champion. That recalls in history and this also applies to the next season.”
Fortunately for Liverpool, Salah will be at Liverpool next season after a new two-year contract, just before Star Center-Back-Back-Jungtiere Virgil van Dijk had completed the same. The 32-year-old has 28 goals in the Premier League in his name and is only two of them to bind the record of 20-season assistants of 20.
However, the reds are probably without right-back Alexander-Arnold, which is expected to bring his talents to Real Madrid during a free transmission, even though the Dutch winger Cody Gakpo indicates a possible U-Turn for the English international during his own title party.
Arsenal hopes to take the Liverpool crown next season, while Manchester City will probably be back in the race after a surprisingly disappointing campaign was excluded from the race this season months ago. Chelsea, which was considered Liverpool’s greatest threat in December before a hot shape falls down the table, will also hope to be back in the mix.
