Mohamed Salah has admitted he is “probably more out than in” when it comes to staying at Liverpool beyond this season.
The Reds star’s contract expires at the end of the season, meaning his time at Anfield could come to an end after seven years.

Salah scored two goals in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Southampton, including the winner with less than 10 minutes left.
During the game he celebrated wildly and ripped off his shirt after taking a penalty late at St Mary’s Stadium.
Liverpool fans loudly chanted his name but now they are worried about his future after a post-match update from the Egyptian game.
The winger told NBC Sports Soccer: “Well, we’re almost into December and I haven’t had any offers to stay at the club yet.” [so] I’m probably outside more than I am inside.
“You know, I’ve been at the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it’s out of my hands. Like I said, it’s December and I haven’t found out anything about my future yet.” .
“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it’s not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see. Naturally.” [no offer is disappointing]Yes.
“I’m not retiring soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League too. I’m disappointed, but we’ll see.”
“I am very professional. Everyone can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy football and play at the highest level for as long as possible.”
“I just do my best because that’s who I am and I try to give everything for myself and the club. We’ll see what happens next.”
Asked whether a move to Saudi Arabia could be part of the considerations if a new deal is not agreed at Anfield, Salah added: “I don’t want to talk about that. I’m concentrating on the team now.”

“It’s an important victory [against Southampton]. I’m glad we were able to win the game because we were 2-1 down.
“The best thing is to win the game because the next game is against Manchester City. Hopefully we keep winning.”
“I just play my game. I try to relax and just play.”
“There is now good chemistry in the entire team with the new manager.” [Arne Slot]. Hopefully we keep winning and win something at the end.”
Salah’s comments came after Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points after Manchester City were beaten 4-0 at home to Tottenham on Saturday.
He has been an important star at the club since his move from Roma in 2017, helping the Reds win the Champions League and Premier League, among other titles.

The Pitch Prospect sources believe that contact between Salah’s agent continues and is positive.
Given his status as the club’s highest-paid player and the size of his current contract, Liverpool have always not expected a quick fix.
Earlier this month, The Pitch Prospect reported that Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal wanted to sign Salah.
The Saudi club want to use the former Chelsea striker ahead of next summer’s Club World Cup to prepare for a possible deadlock clash against Lionel Messi.
Liverpool rejected a huge £150m offer for the Al Ittihad winger in September 2023.
Al Hilal was also enthusiastic at the time.
The Pitch Prospect understands Al Ittihad’s original package is on the table. The Saudi Pro League clubs are believed to be waiting, as Salah first wanted to hear an offer from Liverpool, but it appears not to have been received.
Saudi Pro League sports director Michael Emenalo is conducting all discussions with Salah, who knows him well.
Salah is the second highest goalscorer in the Premier League this season with ten goals, two behind Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
He also recorded six assists.
Since joining seven years ago, Salah has scored 223 goals for Liverpool.
