The defender of Manchester City, Nathan Ake, was operated on because of a long -term foot problem and the club’s injury crisis increased at short notice.
Ake excludes Manuel Akanji and John Stones when, after a previous stop start campaign, they will only be in action again in action from his latest setback of injuries.
AKE had previously got out of the team through injuries this season and was missing in September, October, December, January and February. But the versatile Dutch has now taken the path of the operation to repair a foot fracture.
