Only a few shirts in English football weigh more than Newcastles No. 9, and again two of the strict strikers in Europe could be used.
Callum Wilson cleared the legendary Magpies strip on his outcome of the Toon, in a strong contrast, as Les Ferdinand was forced 19 years ago.

The couple shared a similarity in the way they worked up the football pyramid before they became Newcastles number Nines.
Wilson’s successor for the shirt was always to be Alexander Isak, who is already one of the best.
The Swede has scored 62 goals for Newcastle since his arrival of Real Sociedad in 2022.
Isak led the line in St. James’ Park with No. 14, which was made famous in the Premier League by his idol, the Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
And the 25-year-old has already played the prospect of changing his squad number to Tyneside.
When Isak was asked whether he may be in Newcastles No. 9 in the podcast of adopted organizations at the beginning of this year, Isak said: “I would probably remain 14 to be honest.
“I know [No. 9 is iconic]I think it is difficult because I was successful at 14, and it would probably not be an easy decision.
“I understand [the pressure to wear the No. 9 shirt]But we will see. “
Isak was perhaps diplomatic because Wilson was still a teammate at the time, but despite the previous season, a switch was not announced.
As a result, Newcastle could use it as a negotiating tool for the Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitens this summer.

The Frenchman is currently wearing No. 11 in the Bundesliga, which is occupied by wing players Harvey Barnes in the northeast.
At € 90 million (£ 77 million), Ekismen Isak would exceed as a record signing of the club and possibly also in the Hack order for the nine shirt – if Chelsea does not first concern him as some in the Club fear.
Newcastle fans were able to experience a feeling of déjà vu with Ferdinand and Alan Shearer.
The Magpies beat their transfer record to bring Homeetown Hero Shearer to the club in July 1996.
As with ISAK and EKITIES, the club’s plan was that the top scorer of the Premier League played together with their leading snack.
Ferdinand, who scored 29 goals with Newcastle in his first season, was the proud holder of the No. 9 shirt, the Shearer.

During his appearance in Talksports ‘My Sporting Life’ Podcast, Ferdinand said: “[Kevin] Keegan pulled me and he said to me: “Look I don’t try to prove to someone wrong, but I honestly believe that you and Alan will make an impressive partnership.
“So don’t listen to anything you hear. You stay here in Newcastle ‘,” recalled Ferdinand, he was told.
“I went brilliantly. He said: ‘There is only one thing.’ I said, “What is it?”
“He said he asked for nine for nine shirt. I replied: ‘And what did you say?’ And he went: “Well, I said I would ask.
“I said, ‘Well, I have it too’, and he went: ‘I didn’t notice it’, but you noticed that Alan did.
“My relationship was never the same with Kevin Keegan,” continued Ferdinand, “because they say to me for a year I’m the best striker in the league.
“And then next year you will come and ask about the most iconic shirt in this football club. Back then I will stop believing what you say.

“Yes, it changed our relationship. Was I disturbed? I mean, it was really funny because we were on a trip to the Far East in the previous season.
“None of the boys had known that we had signed Alan until our landing. And then there was obviously this world record fee and Alan showed the shirt number nine. So all boys went, ‘What’s going on here?'”
Ferdinand joked that his Newcastle teammates were all panicked that he would take their number after unveiling what had happened.
And lo and behold, that turned out to be exactly what happened – against Ferdinand’s wishes when he tried to take the free shirt no. 23.
He added: “I’m a big Michael Jordan fan. So I left, boom, done, I’m 23.
“So Kevin Keegan pulls me and he says that the board arrived and they said they want them to have a number between one and 11.

“I said: Tell the board that I have a number between one and 11 and decided to lose it from me.
“So don’t come now and tell me I have to have a number between one and 11.
“Then he said to me: ‘Look, Lee Clark goes and it looks like Lee Clark is going to Sunderland, so number 10 is available.’
“I went, I don’t take Clarky’s shirt because I and Clarky lived in the same building.

“We were on the top floor, he lived on one side and I lived on the other side.
“He and Steve Watson were the boys who took care of me when I went to Newcastle, walked around, showed me the ropes, I thought there was no way to take his shirt.
“Then Keegan said he would go and he didn’t go immediately at the time.
“So we didn’t talk and got into the lift for a few weeks because I had the shirt number 10, but after that he was fine.”
Despite Ferdinand (16) and Shearer (25), Newcastle scored a total of 41 goals of the Premier League in the 1996/97 campaign in the 1996/97 campaign for a second year.
That would be the couple’s only season together on Tyneside when Ferdinand came to Tottenham for £ 6 million the following summer.
