Newcastle United wants to write history on Sunday by winning the Carabao Cup for the first time.
The Magpies have never won the League Cup under any name and have been without great trophy since their FA Cup triumph in 1955. They ended both undesirable records during the 2022/23 campaign when they ended the second place in the competition, but desperately to go one step further this time if they were against Champions and Premier League leader Liverpool against the Champions and the Premier League leaders.
Eddie Howe was loyal to his established start -xi this season and it is unlikely to throw the team selection of this weekend curve ball. A total of some defensive absences, the proven list should be named after the showpiece event in Wembley.
So Newcastle will probably go out for the final.
GK: Martin Dubravka – Dubravka has lost its place to the returnee Nick Pope in the past few weeks, but was Newcastle’s Cup goalkeeper this season. As a capable member who has proven himself consistently, he could be rewarded with a starting place on Sunday.
RB: Kieran Trippier – Trippier’s inventory fell considerably last year when the time of father catches up with it, but injuries mean that the 34-year-old should get a start in Wembley.
CB: Fabian Schar – The Swiss defender achieved a crucial balance against Liverpool at the beginning of this season, but will be more busy suppressing the insatiable forward department of the Reds than getting into the torsafesheet this weekend.
CB: Dan Burn – Sven Botman is a remarkable absence for Newcastle, with the Dutch that is prone to injury, if he is not available, painfully missed. Burn, who received a surprise in England this week, has proven to be a good replacement.
LB: Tino Livramento – Lewis Hall’s injury at the end of the season is at a difficult time when Newcastle urged the Carabao Cup-Ruhm and the qualification of the Champions League. It will be Livramento’s task to captivate the relentless Mohamed -Salah in Wembley.
Cm: Bruno Guimaraes – The midfield of Newcastle offers the perfect mix of work morality and the highest ability, with Guimaraes embodied these two properties. He last won the winner at West Ham United on Monday evening.
Cm: Sandro Tonali – Tonali has proven indispensable since his return from his long suspension and will be interested in claiming the second great honor of his career on Sunday.
Cm: Joelinton – The tireless and persistent Brazilian will certainly leave Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister an impression. However, he may have to watch his temperament on the big stage.
RW: Jacob Murphy – Murphy came in the final of the Carabao Cup 2022/23 in Manchester United a short Cameo appearance, but has been established as an undisputed starter since then. It will cause the Wilding Andy Robertson all possible problems.
ST: Alexander Isak – If a man will go alone to victory on Sunday, then it is Isak. The Swede, which was recently associated with Liverpool, achieved 27 goals and templates in just 32 games this season.
LW: Harvey Barnes – Anthony Gordon’s suspension could prove to be crucial on Sunday, but the absence of the scouser will open the door for the lower barnes. He is capable of magic at a moment, although not as consistent as Gordon.
