Chelsea are keen to add Isak to their attack this summer.

As the Daily Mail reports, Chelsea have indicated to Newcastle that they would like to sign striker Isak as part of the talks between the clubs.

However, it is said that to sign Isak they would have to pay more than the record £1.115 million transfer fee spent last summer to sign midfielder Moises Caicedo.

There have been previous reports that Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal are also interested in Isak given his impressive performances at Newcastle.

The Swedish international scored 25 goals across all competitions last season and 35 goals in total during his two years at the club.

The Pitch Prospect reported in April that Newcastle are seeking to renegotiate Isak’s contract in a bid to fend off interest in their star striker.

Chelsea are close to signing an attacking player this summer as the club have offered a contract to Barcelona striker Marc Guiu.

The 18-year-old has an exit clause of 6 million euros [£5.07million] and the Blues believe he has great resale potential.

Guiu and now Isak have pursued a number of attacking options who have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The Swede was the third-best goalscorer in the Premier League last season with 21 goals.

The Blues confirmed on Saturday that they have agreed a deal with Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian, who will join them next summer.

In addition, Chelsea are close to a £19 million deal with Aston Villa to sign 18-year-old midfielder Omari Kellyman.

However, they will lose Dutch full-back Ian Maatsen, who is moving in the other direction to Villa Park for more than £35 million.
