Newcastle signed Arsenal star who equalled Alan Shearer’s record and created Premier League history


Aaron Ramsdale will leave a similar impression in Newcastle as an Arsenal star when he had joined for the first time.

A loan contract for £ 4 million was agreed between the two clubs with Ramsdale to return to the Premier League after he had suffered his third descent into the championship.

How did Joe Willock create the history of the Premier League in Newcastle?

Willock was 21 years and 272 when he reached the feat – which has been broken by Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund since then.

And Willock ended the season with a 2-0 win in Craven Cottage in a seventh game in a row in Fulham on the last game of the term.

In this strike he resembles the record of Club legend Alan Shearer in so many games in a row for Newcastle, who did this in 1996.

It was only the 13th time that a player had achieved this in the history of the competition.

Shearer was the first to look like his congratulations when he went to X to say: “Yessssss. Joe Willock again. Seven on the spin.”

Willock ended the season as the second top goal scorer from Newcastle, although he only arrived in the middle of the campaign – with only Callum Wilson [12 goals] Beat more.

What did Steve Bruce say about Joe Willock’s effects?

Chef Bruce quickly pushed the board to transform Willock’s change of loan into a permanent stay.

What is Joe Willock’s injury update?
