Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes may have dropped the biggest hint yet about his future following his latest purchase.
With news that the Newcastle star’s contract contains a release clause, several clubs are interested in Bruno Guimaraes, including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
But the Brazil international may have indirectly told them he is happy where he is after buying a £4million villa in the North East.
According to The Telegraph, Guimaraes has bought a luxury property at Darras Hall in an exclusive area of Northumberland, just outside the city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
He and his wife Ana Lidia Martins just welcomed their second child, born last month, and it is believed this house will be their family home.
Family is extremely important to Guimaraes, who also became a father for the first time in October 2022 during his time at Newcastle.
The midfielder’s parents also often visit from Brazil.
It could be the clearest indicator yet that the former Lyon star has committed his long-term future to Newcastle.
His contract contains a release clause worth £100m after he signs a new contract in October 2023.
However, no club have indicated they are willing to meet that figure and the Magpies are not interested in negotiating a lower price.

Potential suitors would have been counting on Guimaraes to push things, but after purchasing a new villa it looks like he’s happy where he is.
And that’s not the only boost for Eddie Howe, who saw Joelinton sign a new contract after months of speculation about his departure.
The two Brazilians are best friends in Newcastle and form a devastating midfield at St James’ Park.
Newcastle are also prepared to reject any offers for Alexander Isak this summer, who has also caught the attention of Arsenal.
The Sweden international has had a good season so far with 21 goals in all competitions, including seven goals in his last six Premier League games.
Newcastle are in sixth place in the Premier League and have a good chance of securing a place in the Europa League this season.
