Arsenal has expressed interest in Cunha – a striker is the top priority of the Gunners this summer, since Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have long -term injuries.

However, talking understands that manager Mikel Arteta has reservations about the hot character of the striker.

In the meantime, Nottingham Forest plans a club record if you qualify for the Champions League.

Inquiries were commissioned for Cunha in January, but wolves were adamant that they were not ready to sell.

The Brazilian striker wrote a new contract in Molineux to promote interest in his services, but struggle in his future, Cunha told Guardian that he hopes to continue.

“I had a lot of offers, but I wouldn’t feel good if I had done it,” he said.

“Some things they cannot control, but I couldn’t leave the club in the middle of the season in a difficult situation in the relegation zone.

“Now we are about to achieve our goal [of staying up]. But I made it clear that I have to take the next step.

“I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”

Although Cunha wanted to continue, he opened the love he felt since he left Atletico Madrid for wolves in January 2023.

“Sometimes everything we want is affection,” says Cunha.

“People think we have everything, but we are people too. We need a little understanding – we have our difficulties.

“Wolves gave me back this joy. The fans [have given] Me a lot.

“The status I have today, the player I am now, and the happiness that I feel is up to them. I am really grateful for wolves.”

Cunha paid Wolves boss Gary O’Neil special credit and said: “Gary understood me completely.

“He came in and said: ‘Man, I think you are an incredible person, but you need affection. And I will give you affection. I will complain if I have to complain, but I will almost be a family for you.’
