According to The Pitch Prospect, Fenerbahce are looking to sign N’Golo Kante this month.
The Turkish giant has made a first approach to his current club Al Ittihad.

Kante is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree on a contract extension with the Saudi Pro League team.
Al Ittihad are ready to allow the 34-year-old to leave the club, but it is unclear whether this will be in January or the summer.
A departure would open the door for a new high-profile signing in the current window.
The club currently has all nine spots for foreign players over the age of 21 filled, with Kante leaving the club and Al Ittihad recording a new signing.
Kante joined Al Ittihad in 2023 on a three-year contract, leaving the Premier League after spells at Leicester and Chelsea.
He was part of the team that won the league and cup double in Saudi Arabia last season.
So far this season, Kante has played 21 games across all competitions and scored one goal.
However, Al Ittihad is currently 12 points behind league leaders Al Hilal in sixth place.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce currently sit in second place in the Turkish Süper Lig, three points behind arch-rivals Galatasaray.
Kante’s World Cup hopes
A move could boost Kante’s hopes of making the France squad for this summer’s World Cup.

The midfielder only played one game for Les Bleus in 2025, against Ukraine in November.
This appearance was his 65th international appearance, with Kante scoring two goals for his country.
However, he missed the last World Cup in Qatar due to a hamstring injury during a two-year national team break.
Kante was part of Didier Deschamps’ squad for Euro 2024 and previously won the 2018 World Cup.
He was suspended for the Nations League final last year and the first four World Cup qualifiers in September and October.
France is scheduled to return to action in March with two friendlies in the United States.

To prepare for the tournament, they will face the South American duo of Brazil and Colombia.
In the group stage, France will face Senegal and Norway as well as the winner of the play-offs with Bolivia, Suriname and Iraq.
