Evangelos Marinakis enjoyed winning both the battle and the war with Tottenham via Morgan Gibbs-White.
The Nottingham Forest owner aimed an excavation from Spurs because of its failed persecution of its captain after he had committed his future to the club.

Gibbs-White seemed to drive to North London at the beginning of this month after Tottenham believed that they had activated his release clause of 60 million pounds.
Spurs had drawn a medical foundation for the 25-year-old with pencil just to get the deal on hold.
Forest cited a legal complaint after Thomas Frank’s side’s approach was illegal.
Any hope of the Champions League outfit that raises the transfer again was officially ended after Gibbs-White signed a new three-year contract.
However, the forest owner Marinakis could not resist a farewell shot in Tottenham as part of the extension of his skipper.
Marinakis said: “As long as I am responsible for all of these actions, approaches should take place, I repeat in a reasonable way.
“I would never let someone get someone from another team or do something that we do not agree with.
“And above all, as I said, some boys belong to our family.
“With Morgan it didn’t take long for it to agree. It was a very short conversation, with passion and love for the club.
“So if you have passion, if you have something love for something, it is for a few seconds to agree. And all of our supporters should know that this guy loves the club.”

The 57-year-old added: “Morgan is a special player not only in terms of talent, but also character and mentality.
“He represents everything we want to be this football club: he is a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless and proud.
“There was a great interest in various clubs, but we were determined to build our future with Morgan.
Gibbs-White was next to the forest owner to confirm his long-term future with the red and stay on the city square by 2028.
In the middle of numerous indications of “Mr. Marinakis”, the English international spoke of him Joy about his new deal.
The midfielder said: “I am very happy, thanks to Mr. Marinkais, that you believed in me.

“I have the feeling that we were on a roller coaster, but I immediately put on love from the first moment when I stepped through the doors.”
He added the club’s website: “From the moment I felt at home in Forest when I arrived.
“The support of the fans, my teammates and everyone in the club were incredible.
“I believe in what we build here – and with the support of Mr. Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I would like to be part of the production of something special.
“I’m looking forward to what will come.”
Talksport understands that Gibbs-White’s New Deal does not contain any publication clause.
He showed his love for the forest with Monaco during the 0-0 draw of the club last weekend.
When he drove down the tunnel after the first half, he signaled the fans a love heart, which was then used as part of his contract ad on social media.
Gibbs-White is currently with his teammates in the Algarve as part of its pre-season camp in Portugal.
