The former coach of Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is said to try to lure the midfielder of the Red Devils, Casemiro, to the Turkish club Besiktas.
Casemiro, who came to United under Erik Ten Hag in 2022, failed under the new head coach Ruben Amorim. The Brazilian was unused in seven of the last nine Premier League games from United.
“I have to make some decisions,” said Amorim recently when he was asked to explain his restricted use of Casemiro. “I want to play a playing style that sometimes differs from that of other coaches, and then I have to decide on that, that’s all.”
Since it is assumed that Casemiro is available for a transfer, AS State Solskjaer wants to work with the former midfielder of Real Madrid at Besiktas.
Reports have also associated Solskjaer and Besiktas with a change from United striker Marcus Rashford, although one does not assume that the Englishman is interested in such a change.
When he took over Besiktas at the beginning of the month, Solskjaer was quickly asked for possible changes from Casemiro or Rashford.
“There is always a lot of speculation about Manchester United players, always a lot of speculation around me,” said Solskjaer Trt Spor. “Casemiro, Marcus – two very good players, but I didn’t speak to any of them.”
