Ollie Watkins reveals furious response to PSG snub as Aston Villa’s transfer stance revealed

Ollie Watkins admitted that he was “angry” after he had cut out for Aston Villas Champions League conflict with Paris Saint-Germain.

Watkins, who achieved 19 goals and 15 assists in the Premier League last season to help Villa qualify for the top competition in Europe, did not start a little of the quarter-finals with PSG when the on-loan striker Marcus Rashford got the nod instead.

In the preparation of the second leg, Watkins admitted that he was frustrated with his latest role as a replacement, and the Snub against PSG saw that these tensions were killed.

“I was angry, I didn’t play,” he said to Sky Sport. “I let [Emery] knows that. He is the manager at the end of the day. I respect his decision. But I am not one of the players who are happy to sit on the bench.

“It is something that I have never experienced and then miss the largest stage. They always want to play, especially in the Champions League. I and some others are disappointed that we didn’t start the game, but as I said, it is the manager’s decision.

“We hit her in the end, but obviously not in both legs. The team played very well, but I wanted to be on the field for much longer, I wanted to start in the important games because I played a big role to get where we are today.”

The times The state villa is open to Watkins this summer after it rejected an Arsenal offer during the transfer window in January.

It is believed that Arsenal has cooled her interest in English international and instead focuses on the signing of other goals. Viktor Gyokoker from Sporting CP and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig are taken into account two of many.

The recent speculations have revolved around a possible exchange contract with Rashford and Manchester United.
