Paris Saint-Germain boss gives bizarre response to question on Manchester United and Tottenham transfer target

Luis Enrique gave a strange answer when asked about speculation about Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain.

The striker has become the subject of transfer interest this month despite only starting twice in the Ligue 1 season.

Kolo Muani has attracted interest from the Premier League.

Manchester United and Tottenham have both been linked with a loan deal for Kolo Muani.

However, Juventus is considered the main candidate for the 26-year-old, who moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to PSG in 2023.

Kolo Muani was not involved in his current club’s 2-1 win over Saint-Etienne, which continued their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

However, PSG coach Enrique remained silent with an unusual answer at the press conference about the Frenchman’s future at the club.

“I don’t know,” he said of the Metro speculation. “For me, the transfer window is more like the market for fruit, fish and bread.”

Enrique then added: “I have nothing to say.”

A move for Kolo Muani to Spurs in January would see him competing with Dominic Solanke for the starting position at the center of their attack.

Ange Postecoglou was without Richarlison due to a thigh injury and will return soon.

However, with the club still taking part in three cup competitions, an attacking contract may still be pending in this window.

Kolo Muani would also face competition for minutes at United as they already have Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in their ranks.

The striker has not been a regular at PSG this season.

However, The Pitch Prospect reported last week that Juventus had offered them Dusan Vlahovic in a surprise swap deal for Zirkzee.

After rising through the Nantes academy and into the first team, Kolo Muani shone during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt.

He scored 26 goals and assisted 17 more in 50 appearances and was part of the French team that reached the final of the 2022 World Cup.

The striker caught the attention of PSG and they signed him for £76.4 million, although he has since struggled in front of goal.

Kolo Muani has scored just 11 goals in 54 games for the French giants and has played just 453 minutes in all competitions this season.
