Barcelona midfielder Pedri officially signed A new five and a half year contract with the Catalan giants.
The Spanish schemer came to Barcelona from his childhood in September 2019. Despite the growing up in Tenerife – more than 1,500 miles from Camp Nou – Pedri has been a blue grana fan since birth.
The grandfather of the midfielder founded the Pena Barcelonista de Tenerife Tegueste, one of the first official Barcelona trailer clubs on the Canary Islands, and his father showed his son film by the legendary Danish Middeler Michael Laudrup (before his days in Real Madrid, of course).
There was little doubt that Pedri would ever be led by Catalonia and that the club has now officially announced its New Deal by June 30, 2030.
Pedri describes at Barça by 2030! 🤝
– FC Barcelona (@fcbarcelona) January 30, 2025
Pedri’s announcement takes place one week after Ronald Araujo has confirmed that he would spend the night in Barcelona by 2031, since the La Liga team gives the extensive list of players with deals in the next 18 months. As Fabrizio Romano Outlined, the Spanish outfit for Gavi (whose deal 2026 expired), Inigo Martinez (2025) and Lamin Yamal (2026) will agree.
Yamal has already confirmed that he wants to sign a new contract with Barcelona this year. However, the club wants to restrict the teenagers’ wages in order to cause financial headaches in the coming weeks.
The aging striker Robert Lewandowski will also be a free agent in 2026, but not such a new offer. The pole does not intend to leave the club this summer.
