Player ratings as Anderson & Wood sink wasteful Spurs

From Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – a late pressure of the pressure not enough Tottenham Hotspur to avoid a 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Monday evening.

The competition was not five minutes old when Elliot Anderson put the visitors into a somewhat random tour. A friendly break of the ball saw it even in Anderson’s way before the spin -in efforts of the midfielder via Guglielmo Vicario were distracted.

Spurs had the green when Chris Wood’s right ear was judged as offside, but no luck could prevent the Kiwi from producing a signature headball for his 19th season goal of the Premier League of the season in the 17th minute.

Tottenham was not without his own openings in a PEFORMANCE that was more impressive than the goal line suggests. Forest had the efficiency that was so desperate and achieved two of her first three recordings of the game. Richarlison’s header to halve the deficit in the 87th minute was Tottenham’s 20th attempt at the competition.

The defeat against Spurs – her fifth in seven league games – leaves the semi -finalists of the Europa League in 16th place, only one point of West Ham United in the last place above the relegation zone. In contrast, the forest rose back to the three top three of the division.
