Player ratings as Davies’ stoppage-time strike breaks Bhoys’ hearts

In Alphonso Davies ’94. Minute strike, Bayern Munich avoided a potential surprise against Celtic when they moved into the KO-steps of the Champions League after the 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Bavaria started strongly and could have opened the rating several times in the first ten minutes, but Celtic had her own goals and Callum McGregor was frustrated not to make a clever opening after only seven minutes.

Nicolas Kuhn saw an effort on the line, and Daizen Maeda bored far afterwards, with Celtic giving two of the best chances of the game early. Harry Kane met Bayern for Bavaria, who were still running in advance how things went when the referee blew for half -time.

Celtic concentrated more on the defense after the restart, and that increased to the next stage after the former Bavarian man Kuhn took the Scottish side at night by taking a certain defender from the Bundesliga shortly after the hour -Giganten exploited.

Leon Goretzka should have restored the advantage of Bavaria 15 minutes later, but the midfielder was able to send his header out of Kasper Schmeichel’s post. Leroy Sane followed shortly afterwards and pushed his efforts beyond the frame of the gate.

With only seconds in added time, Celtic’s determination was finally broken. Schmeichel saved a header by Joshua Kimmich from the point blank 2 victory as a whole.
