Manchester United is in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after sealing a 5-2 overall victory against Real Sociedad in Old Trafford on Thursday.
Just like in the last 16 first legs, Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the penalty point and gave the visiting Spaniards an early lead at night to achieve the tie.
But Bruno Fernandes struck back from 12 meters after a foul on the much improved Rasmus Hojlund. The United Skipper then achieved another penalty at the beginning of the second half to bring his team to a command position before Jon Aramburu was sent for visitors.
Fernandes completed his hat trick from the Open Play to ensure that victory in the final phase was ensured before Diogo Dalot ran up the score later after the heads of La Real had dropped.
