Manchester City secured the urgently needed 3-1 home win against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
City was injured against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening by a collapse in the second half and fell in front of his own fans early behind. A weak back pass from debutant Abdukodir Khusanov was skipped by a hungry and rested Chelsea team when Noni Madueke brought the blues to the lead after only three minutes.
The hosts of Pep Guardiola reacted shortly before the half -time break and equalized due to the relentless forward push of Josko Gvardiol after a penetration arrow of his opposing full -back Matheus.
City took the lead through the well -known figure Erling Haaland. City’s number nine used a long pass from Ederson forward – a typical topic of the second half – and punished Robert Sanchez’s poor positioning by defending Chelsea’s goalkeeper from the right corner of the penalty area in the 68th minute.
Haaland collected another direct ball in the final phase of the game and prepared Phil Foden, who secured three points with City’s third goal of the afternoon.
