West Ham United won a well-deserved 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
After a perfect start for villa, the hosts took the lead after eight minutes. A clever double pass with Ollie Watkins stormed Jacob Ramsey on the goal, and the midfielder made no mistake and shot into the lower corner. Almost immediately afterwards, Morgan Rogers was excluded a player because of offside.
At the beginning of the second half, West Ham would have had to equalize with numerous chances, but they deservedly equalized 70 minutes before the end when Emerson arrived at the back of the post and headed a flank from Edson Alvarez into the goal.
The two teams seemed to be West Ham, who would most likely continue and win, but Villa’s exhausted team managed to secure part of the prey.
