Player ratings as Spurs earn scrappy win

Tottenham Hotspur made it easier for Poseteclou’s shoulders to the shoulders with a highly competitive 2-0 victory in Brentford.

Thomas Frank’s bees had achieved most of all teams in the division and often used with high-quality encounters, but there was a clear lack of tips from both sides in West London.

After a relatively quiet opening, Spurs of Vitaly Janelt’s own goal were given from a malignant corner of Son Heung-Min, which is speeding in the swing. Brentford’s midfielder may be disappointed with his role in the goal and turn his back on the ball when goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson began instead of the usual brand -ins brand -Flekken from Yves Bissouma.

Brentford improved again after the break and pushed Spurs back into her own half, but it was a more measured, quieter performance of the visitors who did not use their usual gung-Ho tactics.

Instead, Spurs sucked out the pressure that Brentford exercised on them, and they met late through the replacement pape Matar Sarr moments after Djed Spence had cleared the line.

The central midfielder made a lung bursting run when Spurs countered, with the son-weighted pass of the son then trudged through the legs of the emerging Valdimarsson.
