Premier League confirm December Player & Manager of the Month award winners

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak was named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for December 2024, while Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo picked up the Manager of the Month award.

Isak wins the award for the first time in his career after a stunning December in which he scored eight goals and two assists in just six games and scored in all six of Newcastle’s games during the month.

That spell began with a goal and an assist against Liverpool in a 3-3 draw and culminated in him scoring against Manchester United to bring 2024 to a close.

Isak rose above the competition to beat Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, who broke the Premier League record for most goal involvements in a single calendar month with his return of seven goals and seven assists.

He is the fifth winner of the award this year, after Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer, Chris Wood and Salah.

Meanwhile, Nuno takes home the manager’s award after leading Forest to a league-high 15 points in December.

Forest began 2025 third in the standings, behind only Liverpool and Arsenal, after recovering from defeat to Manchester City with five straight wins. Man Utd, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur all fell victim to Forest before the calendar came to a close.

It is the second time Nuno has been named Manager of the Month this season and the sixth time in his entire Premier League career.
