Premier League LIVE: Postecoglou’s future at Spurs, Rashford responds to Amorim dig, Man United confront Radcliffe

Rube awakening

Ruben Amorim suggested that he would choose the 63-year-old goalkeeper coach from Manchester United in front of Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils returned to the winning road in the Premier League by defeating Fulham 1-0 in a little inspiring duel in Craven Cottage.

It was the seventh time in the last eight Premier League games that Rashford was not selected by Amorim.

Amorim admitted that the performance of MAN United was missing the pace that Rashford has in abundance, but added that he would rather choose his 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital than any player who was not ready to weight his weight too carry.

When asked about Rashford’s absence, Amorim said: “It’s always the same reason. The reason is training, the way I see what a footballer should do. In training, in life and it is every day, every detail. So if things don’t change, I won’t change.

“It is the same situation for every player. If you give the maximum when you do the right things, we can use every player. ”

“And you can see it on the bench today – we lack a little speed to change the game to move some characters, but I prefer it.”

“I will put vital in front of a player who doesn’t give his maximum every day, so I will not change anything.”
