PSG boss confesses to ‘obsession’ before Arsenal Champions League semi-final

Luis Enrique, Manager of Paris Saint-Germain, left the pretext to ignore the semi-finals of the Mammoth Champions League against Arsenal next week, and admitted that he had an “obsession” with the first club competition in Europe.

The team from the French capital has already been crowned the Ligue -1 Champions, which superfluously ruled the rest of the campaign. Instead of insisting that Enrique dropped his guard, Enrique let his mind at the top of his mind on Friday.

“We have this obsession with the Champions League,” the Spanish boss confessed. “It is a unique scenario. I think this is the first time that this happened to us as a coaching staff to enter from such a big lead.”

PSG still has the opportunity to become the first page in the history of Ligue 1 to make an entire campaign unbeaten, with four remaining games. “There are still records to break,” twitched Enrique, “and that motivates us.” Although he soon let his real intentions be known.

“If someone guarantees me a place in the Champions League final after a defeat against Nice, I would sign immediately,” laughed the former Barcelona manager. “But since nobody can guarantee it and we are ambitious, I think that it is important that our confidence in aiming at aiming [unbeaten] record.”

Arsenal has the luxury of a six -day break to prepare for the visit of PSG in the Emirates stage. In contrast to their upcoming opponents, the domestic fate of the Gunners was effectively sealed for the wrong reason, with a limp 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

PSG has already caught the Eurostar in the Emirates this season and has been due to a convincing 2-0 defeat in the first phase of the Champions League. However, this competition is likely to have little resemblance to the two -legged semi -finals. Ousmane Dembele – the most productive player in the world in 2025 – was not involved in this loss of October, and the French outfit has since settled in a selfless new system.

Enrique’s team is invoiced as one of the favorites of the competition, but they were tested by Liverpool and Aston Villa in the KO phases, with both English clubs winning a victory, even though they have lost every draw as a whole.
