PSG star sits out training as precaution of second leg against Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain will wrap the top goal scorer Ousmane Dembele in cotton wool before the semi-finals of the Champions League next week.

Dembele has achieved thundering numbers since December and now has 33 goals and another 22 templates for all competitions this season.

The former striker of Barcelona scored the early goal of PSG in the Emirates stage in the first leg of the last week, which hands the French side the advantage in the second leg at Parc des Princes.

But Dembele only played 70 minutes of the opening encounter, which were withdrawn by injuries.

RMC Sport has reported that it was diagnosed as a “small” thigh problem, but has a precaution from PSG. The 27-year-old took off at the training on Thursday on Thursday and is not expected to play the Liga match Strasbourg this weekend.

The overarching hope is that Dembele had enough calm until Wednesday to lead the line to visit Arsenal again.

If Dembele is excluded, it would be seen as a sharpness for the Gunners for the Gunners who have to win a goal in the French capital in order to force the extension.

PSG and Arsenal are both on the fame of the Champions League for the first time. The French giants reached the final in 2020 and narrowly lost to Bayern Munich. Arsenal played the 2006 edition against Barcelona and led to a late comeback.
