Raheem Sterling’s 8-year-old son signs for Arsenal’s academy

Raheem Sterling spent the 2024–25 season borrowed in Arsenal, hoping to resume his career after being considered excess requirements at Chelsea.

However, the 30-year-old managed only one goal in 28 appearances in all competitions and did not manage to establish himself as a regular guest in Arsenal’s team.

In order to make the matter more difficult, Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca has already confirmed that Sterling is not part of his future squad on Stamford Bridge and leaves the English in Schweben on the way.

Although things for the 82-cap-English remain unclear internationally, there is already a new sterling-make progress in North London. Raheem’s eight-year-old son, Thiago, has officially joined Arsenals Hale End Academy, signed with the U-9 team and took his first big step in the world of football.

Sterling partner Paige Milian announced the news in a touching Instagram contribution and celebrated her son’s performance with photos of Thiago, which takes up an Arsenal shirt and proudly signed his contract with both parents at his side.

“On proud of my firstborn son Thiago for signing at @officialarsenalacademy U9S,” she wrote. “The growth, commitment and hard work they showed last year were incredible to see. They deserve it,” he added. “This is just the beginning. So keep your feet on the floor, stay humble and grind on, the trip doesn’t stop here.”

At the moment, Sterling may be his own career on a crossroads – but his son’s journey in Arsenal is just starting.
