The real Betis sports director Manu Fajardo has confirmed that the association will do “all sorts of things” to keep the Manchester United Lieber beyond this season.
Antony’s offer to resume his career in Spain was a driving success and scored four goals and four templates in 13 games as part of a loan business that does not contain the option for permanent transmission.
It looks like Antony will return to United this summer, but Betis -Executive Ramon Alarcon previously revealed a conversation with the Brazilian in which he would like to stay at the club.
It has been suspected that Betis Antony can only keep beyond this season if they qualify for the Champions League, but even if they miss a place in the lucrative competition, Fajardo insists that Betis will not rest until they have exploited all opportunities to keep Antony.
“It’s still early, but we will try to do everything in different ways to further enjoy Antony,” he said to Movistar.
Last month it was reported that Betis had already opened talks with United about extending his loan to the next year, but the Red Devils are looking for a permanent transfer obligation, which, it looks, goes beyond the scope of Betis.
Teammate Isco has prompted to play a crowdfunding operation in a playful way in order to collect the money that is necessary for the maintenance of Antony – something for which defender Marc Bartra has promised his support since then.
“Among my teammates, we are ready to do everything that is best for the team,” we go, “said Bartra in response to a fundraising mission. “Antony is doing very well, and Betis gave him incredible affection and love from the first day.”
In his part, Antony was not in use in the discussion about his future, and was aware that he could still return to United this summer.
