Real Madrid has confirmed that midfielder Dani Cemballos suffered a thigh muscle injury in the final phases of the Copa del Rey encounter on Wednesday evening with Real Sociedad.
Madrid won the semi -finals in San Sebastian in the first leg in San Sebastian with the kind permission of a hit by Endrick’s 19th minute. Carlo Ancelotti’s team will now feel confident to go into the final and possibly what would only be her second COPA in the past decade.
But the first leg ended, even though it ends in victory, negative. Ceballos collided knee-zuknee with the former Madrid winger Takefusa Kubo in the intermediate passport and looked considerable pain when he left the field, later supported the medical staff and was unable to lay weight on his right leg.
But the knee is not the problem, it is a muscle problem in his other leg. The pictures of the collision showed a potential overpressure from his left leg when he tried to hang his right foot around the ball.
Although he looks as if he is excess for requirements in Bernabeu, as evidence by borrowing with Arsenal for two years, Cemballos has established himself as an important member of the squad. The 29-year-old would not necessarily be a first choice, but is an important rotation option.
With Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, both pulled out of the midfield at different times to help the injuries crowned with injuries, the injuries to Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric’s age restrictions.
Madrid did not offer a time frame for his recovery, but AS reported that it could be “at least” two months before Cemballos is back on the field, possibly a big blow to the club.
The player could not return in La Liga, the Champions League and Copa del Rey in a crucial level of the season until the end of April.
