Real Madrid convince Endrick to make transfer decision

Real Madrid have asked Endrick to remain patient as the young striker is advised to delay any decision regarding him Future After a frustrating start to his time in Europe, he stayed with the club until the summer.

The hype surrounding Endrick was able to grow for more than 18 months, with Madrid securing a €60m (£50m) contract when the teenage prodigy was already 16 years old.

The Brazilian finally made the move to Spain on his 18th birthday last summer, but struggled to secure playing time in the face of competition from Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappe. The presence of Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler only adds to rumors of a move away from the Spanish capital.

Endrick has played 16 games, totaling just 250 minutes, and hasn’t scored a goal since September 17th.

Probably to his relief, the 18-year-old started Madrid’s Copa del Rey game against fourth division side Minera on Monday night in what was described as his “last chance”. As predicted, a rotating team even dominated the game and shot 21 times at the home team’s goal in a 5-0 win, although Endrick was not among the scorers.

The athlete writes that Madrid have asked for patience from Endrick, who scored international goals against England and Spain last season while still a Palmeiras player. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo also made predetermined moves at a young age and didn’t immediately become superstars, as Endrick has actually played in more games so far than either of them did in their respective first seasons.

Endrick currently has no plan to leave the Bernabeu during the January transfer window but is expected to address the situation at the end of the season if things remain as they were.

Although Madrid enjoyed great success with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, Barcelona discovered that not every expensive teenager signing from South America is a success. Vitor Roque lasted just six months before being loaned out to Real Betis, where he scored four La Liga goals.
